Over the weekend I started working up some mock-ups (demos) for a new web design for some friends.
I don’t know that they’ll use what I originally came up with, but thought I’d keep working it and turn it into a full WordPress theme.
Right now I’m calling it Rockband, but I plan on changing the name to something a bit more clever before I release it into the wild.
It’s meant to be a quick and easy theme for bands or other touring groups/organizations to use to run their website (it could also easily be adapted for a youth group, church or the like). With a few few recommended plugins the site will also include video (YouTube/Vimeo etc), an audio player, Twitter updates and a tour schedule.
The theme is built on the back of the Sandbox Framework and currently comes with three different flavors — which will be selectable/changeable from within the WordPress dashboard.
I’ve posted six screenshots on Flickr and would love to get your input/ideas. Let me know what you think and what you might want to see/change.
Also, got any great name ideas for the new theme?
