Some of the final autopsy reports on Chris Benoit are coming out now and are pointing to evidence that was suggested early, saying Benoit’s fit of rage may be much more linked to the repeated concussions he suffered in the ring rather than any steroids he may or may not have used.
His father will be on Larry King Live tonight to discuss the latest developments.

Flickr went down today :-(
One of my favorite sites in the world, Flickr, went down today – just as I wanted to find a photo of Jerusalem.
Drats.
But what I love about Flickr is the way they handle their problems. Here’s the post from their blog during the outage…
Ouch that hurt!
One of the big switches that lets Flickr talk to the outside world went on vacation without telling anyone about 30 minutes ago. The problem has been fixed and we’re wobbling our way back up, but you might still see some strange behavior for the next 10-20 minutes.Actual photo serving wasn’t affected so any photos you were showing elsewhere (like on your blog) should have gone on happily showing up.
update 12:58pm: hmmm, still stuck in baggage claim on the way back up. We’re looking at another 20 minutes at least until everything is all shiny.
update 1:33pm: all cuteness aside, our dedicated team of server whisperers are bringing each frightened server up one by one. This is taking a bit longer then they had promised us. Current predictions are 15 minutes. We’ll provide updates as necessary.
update 1:39pm: WE’RE BACK! Thanks for your patience.
I remember back in the day when Flickr would be under maintenance and you’d get a little message that said, “We’re sorry Flickr is getting a massage.”
Sure it wasn’t access to the site like I wanted, but the fact that they eased my troubles with a “cute little message” made me feel all better and warm and fuzzy inside — and more importantly it kept me coming back — so much so that Laurie and I both have pro accounts (although that’s up for debate as mine is about to expire).
Either way I think it goes to show how great a little humility and humor can go a long way when you know you’ve messed up.
Way to go Flickr. Thanks for taking care of us.

WWE signs development deal with Von Erich
The WWE just signed a development deal with Kerry Von Erich’s daughter, Lacey.

According to several sources, including Wikipedia, and her Myspace page, the deal was signed in early August and she’s working in Florida for the time being.
DJ Shadow In Tune and On Time
DJ Shadow did a full gig recently in London with his DJ setup as well as an amazing visual/cinematic experience.
I love it.
The music along with the visuals is almost hypnotic and the combination of the two is great. I’m not sure if it was live or edited later in but it would appear several times that the video is primarily displayed using rear projection onto three screens but then it’s also projected from the front so the visuals appear on him while he DJs as well. I’m certain it’s just great video editing that took place later on – but it’s a cool look and idea.
He also utilizes a number of inteli-beams lights around the stage for added effects.
You can check out the set online on Ben Hanbury’s blog (just a heads-up, it’s a huge download)
Proverbs 4
More on Wisdom… Proverbs 4
Get wisdom, get understanding;
do not forget my words or swerve from them.
Do not forsake wisdom, and she will protect you;
love her, and she will watch over you.
Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom.
Though it cost all you have, get understanding…When you walk, your steps will not be hampered;
when you run, you will not stumble.
Get Wisdom – it does a body good. That’s how I would market this chapter to the world. Yeah, it’s a pretty bad Christianizing of the Milk marketing campaign, but that seems to sum up what Solomon is saying here. If you seek wisdom and seek it with all your heart it will protect you, watch over you and your steps will not be hampered and you will not stumble when you run.
When we just run through life on our own, we tend to stumble and fall and falter. But if we seek Wisdom, true Wisdom from God our steps are guided.
Above all else, guard your heart,
for it is the wellspring of life.
Prov. 4:23-27 tells us that we must guard our heart. Don’t give into the the perversions or wrong turns that may come so easily in this world. I we apply the first portion of the chapter, the second half becomes a lot easier. If we fill our heart, minds and souls with the things of God, it gives the Devil a lot less wiggle room and a lot less time to sneak his temptations in there.
As we talked about last Wednesday morning, we tend to simply focus on what we shouldn’t be doing, rather than focus on the things we should be doing. We tend to say, “Ok Christianity means I can’t do this, this, this and certainly not this.” But the more we focus on not doing it, the more likely we are to end up doing it – because that’s all we’re focused on.
I think of it like a diet. If I know I’m not supposed to eat cake and I go somewhere where there is cake I can tell myself over and over and over again I won’t eat it – but the more I think about it, the more I crave it. If instead of thinking about the cake I eat healthier foods like fruit and veggies, before long I’m to full to even want to think about the cake. That’s wise dieting. Don’t let yourself get hungry when you’re going to be surrounded by temptations. Fill your tummy with good stuff before you even have a chance to be tempted.
The same goes for life. If you know you’re going to be tempted to watch or read something you shouldn’t, fill your mind with those things you know are good for you and you’ll have a lot less time to waste on those things that aren’t so good for you.
