The song that sparked Tuesday’s questions:
It’s sure easy to sing these words but I really doubt we believe them — and perhaps even more disturbing — we don’t live like we believe them.
If Jesus’ love really has no bounds, shouldn’t our love have no bounds?
And if our love has no bounds, I think that means we’ve got some serious changing to do…
What do you think?
Isn’t it amazing how complicated we can make things?
We’re always trying to find an easy solution to things and yet in the end we end up filling things with junk and clutter we don’t need and doing more damage than good
Diet fads, home exercise equipment, the latest electronic gadget that puts us further in debt.
Yet, things were pretty simple in the beginning.

Saturday night I had the privilege to take part in the Christian Wrestling Federation’s 10 year anniversary show.
It was a great night with some great matches from CWF Alumni as well as the CWF future — including a 12 man Battle Royal.
For those who are new to the blog, I first found out about the CWF only a few months after it began (in May 2000).
And I went to my first CWF show in Georgetown, Texas in the Fall of 2000 after hearing about it from a fellow journalism student, Chris Allman (aka Chris Idol/Angel).
Several years later, I joined up with the CWF and served as the ring announcer and commissioner from 2005-2007.
It was a great time in my life, full of great memories and great relationships that I made while travelling from place to place with the guys — even more so with the late night trips Chris and I made from Belton to Rockwall (and back) that first year.
So Saturday night was a great time to remember some of those memories and a chance to see the work continue.
Rob (Jesus Freak) asked me to put together a slide show and highlight video to show Saturday night, so here they are in all their glory ::
You can find out more about the CWF through my archives, or visit www.christianwrestling.com (which I still manage). I also chatted with Chris a month or so back for the podcast and he talks about his history with the CWF along the way.
Brian McLaren’s new book, A New Kind of Christianity: Ten Questions That Are Transforming the Faith, drops tomorrow (Tuesday, Feb. 9).
I received a free advance copy from the publisher late last week and have been devouring it every chance I get (which with two toddlers at home hasn’t been that often).
In it, McLaren offers the top 10 questions he’s been hearing from people about the Christian faith as well as 10 responses to those questions (as opposed to answers — which are simply statements — which lead to hate and debate… he expounds much more on this in the first couple chapters).
So far I’m loving everything I’ve read. I won’t say I agree with everything yet (especially since I haven’t the full book yet) but what I’ve read is definitely in line with a lot of other things I’m reading and thinking as of late.

As part of our weekly What-a-Study men’s group on Wednesday mornings, we’ve been chewing on Ephesians for the last several weeks.
We’ve been taking it chunk by chunk, roughly 10-15 verses at a time and chewing on the passages with the symbol study that Aaron suggested a while back.
So this past week we were focused on the first portion of Ephesians 2 (Eph 2:1-10).
