Well this will likely be my final set of notes from The Idea Camp DC :-(. Even missing a couple sessions the weekend un-conference was pure greatness in my mind. Lots of things to chew on and “take home.”

So without further ado – here are my notes from the closing session ::

Idea Camp DC

I missed a couple sessions since my last post but thought I’d pass along a few notes before the closing session.

Several people have also been live blogging the event and I’ll try and track down their blogs to pass along their notes as well.

Watchin the Idea Camp today #icdc

I wrote about The Idea Camp a while back. I had hoped to have a local viewing party, but it never quite panned out. Instead I’m watching online physically by myself, but what seems like I’m right there with everyone thanks to technology.

Thanks to free online streaming and Twitter I’ve been watching and listening to a majority of the conversations taking place this weekend in DC. So far its been great.

I’ve been twittering my notes, so for those who haven’t been able to keep up, and for archival purpose, here are some of the notes I’ve taken through the pre-session and the first breakout session…

Hopefully these notes will spark creative ideas and innovation within your own groups.

The Idea Camp – Justice edition

Have I mentioned that I love the ideas behind The Idea Camp? It’s such a great un-conference, open and FREE (aka Pay What You Will) concept!

The event is based entirely around conversations with the “speakers” via interviews, Twitter and txt messaged questions, rather than a 45-minute lecture by some “expert” in his field.

Charter for Compassion

(embedded video)

There are those that think we must bring about “justice” and punish those who “do us wrong.”

There are those that think we must “stand up for ourselves” and fight to rid the world of our “enemies.”

Perhaps, if we step back we’ll realize our enemies are men like us.

LOVE WINS! In every country, every language and yes – every religion.
