Laundry Love efforts this week

Laundry Love People

Thanks again to everyone for your continued support of our Laundry Love efforts.

This week is a great week for Laundry Love People in the Dallas area!

On Sunday afternoon, our friends in Waxahachie launched their first Laundry Love effort and I saw this update via Facebook:

Our laundry of love started off slow but after 5 pm we were able to help between 5-10 families with their laundry. It was really awesome watching Austin and Elizabeth meeting people they did not know and offering help.

On Thursday evening, more Laundry Love People will come together and launch a new effort in Mesquite (on Galloway near the hospital).

And on Saturday, we’ll be back in Glenn Heights for our 4th gathering at our normal laundromat! Can’t wait!

We’ve also been blessed with several donations from folks who have donated both cash and laundry detergent. Thanks so much for the donations!

We’d love to have you come join the fun on either Thursday night in Mesquite (at 7?) or Saturday night at 6 p.m. in Glenn Heights.

We encourage each person coming to Glenn Heights to bring a small load of laundry to wash for themselves as well as at least one roll of quarters. If that’s not feasible for you, please don’t let that keep you from coming. We welcome anyone that wants to come and love on some folks for a couple hours. Just let me know if you’re interested.

Also, we’d love to have some folks who might be interested in donating some food or snacks for our events. If cooking (or buying food) is more up your alley, we’d love to have you join us in that way as well – just let me know.

Thanks again for all you do to help the under-resourced in our community! Hope to see you at one of the three Dallas area efforts in the near future!
