Viral videos begin for 2008

I caught wind of this yesterday on CNN and Mike shared it on his blog yesterday.
Places like YouTube and Myspace could become huge factors in the 2008 elections.
Here’s an ad promoting Barak Obama that’s a take off on an original 1984 Apple Computer ad.

Here’s the original Macintosh computer ad:

The crazy thing about all this is that no campaign is claiming ownership from one of the first mud slinging ads of the campaign. It appears to be from an unknown fan of Obama. Whether that holds true or not. We’ll see.

Laurie’s been putting together a picture montage for our wedding rehearsal and reception. She sent me a few sneak peaks that I had to share with you all. I think she’ll be scanning some old pics of me tomorrow. That could get scary.
For some reason I’ve always figured I’d be the one making one of those videos but she’s taken charge of it and I’m more than happy to let her. I have no doubt it will be awesome, just like the first one she made for us:

99. The soldiers of Ellis County – Four years ago this week America began it’s campaign of Shock and Awe against Saddam and his Iraqi regime. Like all previous wars, Ellis County’s men and women stepped up and volunteered to serve their country. So far four soldiers from Ellis County have died in the war against terrorism.
So that’s one of the main reasons why we picked the soldiers of Ellis County as number 99.

Some of you may have no idea of where Ellis County even is. Others of you may live and breathe Ellis County. Either way, I thought I’d start a new series: 100 Things we love about Ellis County. Feel free to throw your suggestions into the hat. Here’s the start of the list, in no particular order:
