What is it about boys and boxes. These boxes aren’t just any ordinary box, they are now cars and they are going to Costco. Hahaha

Saturday we decided– and when I say we, I really mean I–to take Presley to the dog park at White Rock Lake because she had a vet appointment around the corner from there. She pretty much just sniffed the entire perimeter of the gate instead of playing with the other dogs or even chasing a ball. Maybe she’s an S personality..hmmm…anyway, I think she had fun but then ready to leave when we left. She didn’t have as much fun at the vet but she did good. I chose the vet I take her to because one, I adopted her from there so they know her, but also because all the vets there are females and Presley doesn’t necessarily like males. But since she has been there they hired a male vet–what were they thinking…and of course the only vet there on Saturday was the male vet…so she started barking at him when he walked in the door. The barking didn’t last long though and she was fine. After the vet she got a bath! Presley doesn’t like baths and I hate giving her a bath, mainly because I don’t like having to clean the tub afterwards. After all that we came home because Presley was pretty pooped, and we were too..then had Tim and Kara and Josh and Shalyn over for dinner. It was a fun, long day!
If you know anyone that wants a sweet Basenji, they can have her! Presley has been driving us crazy the last few days. All she wants is to go in the backyard and run around but it’s all muddy so she can’t. She keeps jumping on the doors to let her out and I know the first time we don’t, she’ll go to the bathroom on the carpet. So we put her leash on and take her out. This morning I took her out and she did her buisness like usual and then 5 minutes later she wanted to go back out so I took her out again and she just ate grass. I am soo ready for the sod in the backyard to be done so she can go out there! And, no she’s not for sale, I’m not giving her away, she’s mine to keep!
We’ve been trying to keep Presley off the bed because, well, she doesn’t need to be on there…we find little white/brown hairs all over the bed when she does get on there and she would more than likely keep us awake all night. Anyway, I stayed home from work yesterday because I woke up with a bad migraine…I got back in bed after Jonathan left for work and here comes Presley up on the bed…I could just see her wheels turning in her head and thinking…”daddy’s gone, can I get on the bed now?” It was funny, I threw her off a couple of times but then just got tired of messing with her so I let her stay on the bed…she slept on the foot of the bed for about 4 hours and didn’t move at all. I think she was probably thinking to herself…”If I stay as still as I can, I’ll be able to stay on the bed.” Well, she was right because the second she started moving and jumping, in the crate she goes. She did get a little ADHD when we went downstairs though, she was ready to play, I was not!
