After a few “heavy” blog posts this week… how about some fun videos of my twin boys?
I wish I had my Flip Camera nearby, but instead I used my iPhone to grab some video of my boys having a great time playing on their play mat yesterday afternoon.
Enjoy!
BTW… seeing the “related videos” on YouTube that automatically post next to these videos makes me really thankful for Vimeo. Now I just need a good app on my phone that will post to Vimeo instead of YouTube… (and someone to sponsor a Vimeo Plus account for me :-))
When I was a teenager, my dad would often wake me with a jovial rendition of songs about how wonderful a day it was and how we should be thankful for everything and how beautiful the sky was…etc., etc., etc.
You get the picture?
They were just the sort of songs you don’t want sung to you when you’re NOT a morning person and you’re trying to sleep until the very last minute possible.
It makes me smile when my boys give me reactions similar to what I gave my dad, whenever I wake them from their morning stupor and start changing their diaper (IDiddy especially).
My only fear is that I’ll come in one morning and they’ll try and zing me by quoting a Proverb like…
If anyone loudly blesses their neighbor early in the morning, it will be taken as a curse. (Prov. 27:14)
…because I’ll doubt I’ll be able to fire back another zinger as fast as my dad did about being a lazy sluggard.
How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? (Prov. 6:9)
The craving of a sluggard will be the death of him, because his hands refuse to work. (Prov. 21:25)
YouVersion just doesn’t work that fast on my phone.
For yesterday’s 2 month photo, I ended up waking the boys up from their nap to be sure and get the photo before my blog post went live (14:36).
Of course anytime you wake a sleeping baby you’re in for an adventure… wake two and well…
Here’s the results:

Our boys are officially two months old!
It’s hard to believe it was two months ago (Oct. 21 at 2:36 p.m.) that we were welcoming them into the world. They’ve grown and changed so much since then… it’s been a tiring two months but I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

So after a rough week for My Life and the boys at home, I told Laurie to take an Ambien tonight and let me handle the night time feedings.
She gladly accepted, with the condition that I would go to bed once she wakes up in the morning and sleep as long as possible during the day tomorrow.
Are we crazy? Probably, but I figured I’d let you in on the fun tonight by live-blogging as we go.
