Just a quick break from my blogging siesta to let you know that it’s that time of year again – time for the annual Post-Thanksgiving Breakfast in Deep Ellum!
Come join others from encounter and The Mission as they serve breakfast to the under-resourced in Dallas’ downtown/Deep Ellum area.
8:30 – 11 a.m. Nov 28th
3100 Main Street Ste 270
(the space across the street from Cafe Brazil with the green gate)
Needs:
- Cooks to prepare breakfast taquitos in advance
- Volunteers to help serve
- Volunteers to sit with, listen and welcome those being served
- Warm clothing/blankets to give to those in need
- Toiletries to be given away
- DART passes
- Gift cards for restaurants ($5, $10, etc. — preferably to those in the Downtown Dallas/Deep Ellum area)
We had a great time last year and can’t wait for this year’s event either.
