Where’s Louisiana? Don’t ask a young American

WASHINGTON — Despite the wall-to-wall coverage of the damage from Hurricane Katrina, nearly one-third of young Americans recently polled couldn’t locate Louisiana on a map and nearly half were unable to identify Mississippi.
Americans between the ages of 18 and 24 fared even worse with foreign locations: six in 10 couldn’t find Iraq, according to a Roper poll conducted for National Geographic.

Dallas Global Night Commute

Someone put together a video with Switchfoot’s “We are One Tonight” with video footage from the Dallas GNC. They put an annoying blur effect on the video, but it’s still a good edit job and shows you a lot of the people involved.

I finally got on to Channel 11’s website and found their video of the event. The site was super slow the last couple days.

Prayer for Rolly


This past weekend my college roommate and bro, Rolly’s family suffered a great loss in the passing of his cousin.
The cousins death was very unexpected and he passed in his sleep at the age of 25.
He died of a heart attack and seizure.
Rolly and his family are having great difficulty in dealing with this loss and need the strength from their friends and extended family.
Please stop and take a few moments to pray for Rolando and his family and ask for strength in coping with this matter.

HBK was hillarious


I don’t usually comment on RAW here, but thought I would after last night’s show.
The majority of the wrestling was sub-par in my opinion, but the story lines were amusing and HBK Shawn Michaels was hillarious in his guest referee spot.
I was laughing the entire match to seek Michaels pull his antics in the ring as referee. I also loved his run in during the Cena and Spirit Squad match and his “blind ref” gimmick.

Also – Joey Style’s promo was great. Great shoot/work.
It finally made since at the end of his promo why there had been all the ribbing teasing throughout the night.
Did anyone else catch his blooper during the Edge and Folley segment.
Right after Folley asked for a match that night and Edge started to say yes – Lawler got excited and Styles said “Next week!”
It wasn’t until several minutes later that Edge actually accepted the match for next week.
