Tim and Dennis on WWE

Tim Storm and Apocalypse were on WWE TV progamming this past week a couple different times.
Both were on RAW Monday night as security guards to break up a fight between John Cena and Bobby Lashley.

The next night on ECW, Storm was in a squash match with Big Daddy V (Viscera). Incidentally, Viscera was Storm’s third wrestling match ever when he got started in the business.

Apoc also showed up on Smackdown as a “sad clown” who got punched in the face by Kane during a Mardi Gras segment with Edge.
There was a photo of Apoc on the front page of WWE.com last week but it’s since been taken down and I haven’t been able to find it again.
Doh.

Benoit had high testosterone levels

From the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

Former pro wrestler Chris Benoit had elevated levels of testosterone in his system when he died last month, indicating he had recently injected the hormone, a GBI toxicological report released Tuesday shows.
In addition, the report said, Benoit, his wife and their young son all had traces of Xanax, a common tranquilizer, in their blood. Officials said the boy was sedated before Benoit killed him.
Benoit and his wife, Nancy, also had traces of hydrocodone, a narcotic pain medication, the report said.
Federal prosecutors have indicted Benoit’s personal physician, Phil Astin III of Carrollton, on seven counts of overprescribing medications to at least two unidentified patients. Officials have said Benoit is not one of those patients but the investigation into Astin continues. Astin is under house arrest in Carrollton after being released on $150,000 bond.

Watching Smackdown tonight?

Watching Smackdown tonight? The show was taped in New Orleans this week and my buddy Dennis (Apoc) is scheduled to appear near the end of the show.
Look for the sad clown getting punched in the face by Kane.
In other wrestling news, John Cena, Bret Hart, Chris Jericho, Ted “Million Dollar Man” DeBiase and Steve Blackman were on Larry King Live discussing the Chris Benoit double-murder suicide.
Watch the podcast if you missed it.
King also showed clips of a previous interview with Hulk Hogan.
Jericho said he thinks the media took the easy route out by blaming steroids for the Benoit event.
“I spoke at length with a psychiatrist here in Los Angeles who specializes in murder-suicide and she told me it’s never one thing. It’s always a combination of many things. I think it’s lazy reporting and lazy investigation that a lot of people are just tying this up in a nice steroid bow and putting it under the corner and moving along and saying that is the case. I did some research and if you are a massive caffeine user and abuser it can lead to hallucinations, depression, anxiety, violent behavior and sometimes psychotic behavior. Now if I came on here and said caffeine caused this you’d think I was a lunatic but if I take out caffeine and put in steroids with the exact same list of symptoms you’d say ‘Bingo’ that’s it. This is not about steroids this is about a man who had severe mental, damaging, horrible issues in his head that he kept bottled up inside and it exploded into this horrible violent act.”

Does Wikipedia entry offer insight into Benoit tragedy

CNet has the scoop

An anonymous edit to Wikipedia could provide a clue about the deaths of former professional wrestler Chris Benoit, his wife and 7-year-old son. Or it could simply be random Wikipedia pranksterism by a University of Connecticut undergraduate.
The changes were made to the Wikipedia article on Benoit, a former internationally recognized athlete who participated in World Wrestling Entertainment, hours before police discovered the bodies in the family’s suburban Atlanta home.
At 12:01 a.m. ET on Monday, the entry was changed to say he missed a championship match because of personal issues “stemming from the death of his wife Nancy.”

Quite interesting. Someone’s gonna get subpoenaed.
