I’ve been pondering an idea as of late and I’d love your input.
I LOVE Twitter — as if its not evident enough. I may love it a little too much. I love the connections, I love the conversations, and I love sharing ideas that spark other ideas, conversations and discussion.
And as those of you who follow my Twitter feed know, I share a lot of quotes from books, conferences, videos and the like. Some people seem to enjoy them, others get turned off by them — especially on weekends when I’m taking part in great conferences like The Idea Camp.
So I’m pondering the idea of a second Twitter account, geared primarily towards those book quotes, conference discussions and such. This would leave my primary account (@jdblundell) for the day to day things, like random pictures around town, where I’m eating dinner and occassionally cool articles or links I feel are worth sharing with others — for those of you familiar with DJ Chuang, its kind of similar to what he’s doing with his @djchuang247 and @djchuang accounts (only he gets to go to a lot more cool conferences).
The primary account would remain linked to Facebook and update my status there as well, the second one (with all the quotes and random ideas) would only be accessible via Twitter — for the hardcore followers :-).
So there’s my thoughts, what are yours? I’ve set up a brief poll in PollDaddy for you to vote (and/or add your own comments). Let me know.
(oh and yes – those are my actual stats from Twitter, with a little estimation thrown in on %Tweet Values)
