I now remember why I never completed a full 365-day photo challenge.
It’s HARD.
Unless you carry your camera with you 24/7 and or set out a deliberate time each day to shoot photos, it just ain’t gonna happen. (It’s also probably why I mainly shoot on my iPhone and Instagram now.)
Both things I captured this week were at a decent distance. The first, a rainbow I saw on the way to dinner Tuesday night.
The next, Reunion Tower here in Dallas was lit up in support of the Texas Rangers who have a big Wild Card Playoff game tonight.
What’s always interesting about photography to me is how different the final photo can be compared to the naked eye.
There was a slight double rainbow happening when I took the rainbow photos – but getting the camera to capture that light was near impossible without overexposing the shot with all the ambient light.
And Reunion Tower was obviously lit with the Texas Rangers logo for everyone to see, but getting the camera to capture it – not so easy.
Ultimately, the best photo that captured it was taken on my iPhone. Not sure if it was a setting I should have changed on the camera, the zoom, or just the fact that the LEDs played tricks with the lens.
