Guerilla gardening

I love this idea… guerilla gardening.
A gardener in Vancouver has started planting gardens around her town in random places to beautify her neighborhood.

The impetus for my guerrilla gardening is to bring colour to neglected urban landscapes. The goal is to develop sustainable beauty that will enrich the lives in the neighborhood for years to come, even after I(and my cohorts)have left. The gardening started in an industrial red light area–needles, used condoms and makeshift homes can be found within feet of these photos. Don’t be distracted by the extra tidbits I’ve thrown in… this will basically serve as a window into my world of gardening!

Love it.
