My friends Kari McHam and Jana Vanderburg have an amazing ministry they head up — Porcelain Dolls — in which they minister to the women involved in Waco’s adult entertainment industry.
Each month they put together gift bags and deliver them personally to the three strip clubs in Waco. Like many small ministries, Kari, Jana and a few others have been shouldering the financial burden of this ministry on their own.
Kari shared this over the weekend on Facebook…
So Jana and I have been in prayer about our ministry and the one thing we both agree on is that we need to get some income in to be able to do all the things we have been doing and more for the girls in the clubs.
In February we were able to place an order for shirts that we designed and hand them out to all the girls we came into contact with that night during our outreach. We handed every shirt out! We didnt have one single shirt left! Since then new girls have come along and want shirts, but we dont have anymore, so we tell them that as soon as we get some we will come back and hand more out.
The problem we have been having is that we dont have the cash to place another order of shirts. SO, here’s our thought…We are going to ask you if you want to sponsor a stripper for $5. $5 will allow us to be able to buy a girl a shirt and a bag for our monthly outreach. We are going to call this our “Grace wears Stilletos” project.
We need to raise the funds to order shirts and get our girly items to place in our bags that we hand out once a month. So, if you are interested in sponsoring a stripper please email me at dakamc3@yahoo.com
We appreciate all you do for us already. Some of you drive the hour and a half to help stuff bags and some of you pray from afar…and both are neccessary and appreciated. Understand that we could not do anything without YOU. So thank you so much for all you do and join arms with us as we show grace and love to those who wear stilettos.
I hope you’ll consider doing what you can to join Porcelain Dolls in caring for those who wear stilettos.
