Does it make sense to keep the navigation across platforms and devices? While we can make navigation work in multiple sizes, it may not always be the best decision.

Are you referring to, for example, single activity for portrait orientation vs framed activities for landscape orientation in apps or are you referring to laying out websites for view through a browser?
@Walker – I’m not entirely sure I’m following your question. This was part of a larger conversation and sent with just a brief note attached so I probably didn’t explain everything in depth.
The idea is that the main navigation for PBSKids.org is the character wheel. The question asked was “that while it can be resized to fit on a mobile screen (either landscape or portrait) is it really best to do so?”
The PBS Kids team thought it would not be practical to continue the same wheel format onto a smaller size screen simply because it’s very awkward to use a wheel navigation piece like theirs on a touch screen. It’s far easier to swipe from left to right like they’re showing on the right hand side of the image.
Does that make more sense?
Yes sir, danke.
Enjoying you Google+ posts, brother. Keep ’em coming!
