We’re looking for a good photographer for our wedding in April and I’ve also been asked to take photos for a friend’s wedding in March. In my search I came across DIYWeddingPhotos.com. A couple talks about how they shot all their own wedding photos without a high-priced photographer.

Anyone else have any tips or ideas for DIY wedding or wedding photography?

World AIDS Day
Today is World AIDS Day — a day to remember all those who have suffered from HIV/AIDS in the 25 years since it was first identified and a great day to take a moment to support everyone working to eradicate this deadly virus.
Today, there are about 40 million people living with HIV worldwide, and it is increasing in every region in the world. In Africa, it is the leading cause of death — 5,500 Africans die each day from this insidious disease.
According to doctors at Parkland Hospital in Dallas, the hospital has seen over 5,000 patients with AIDS since their HIV Services program began in 2000.
Seventy-two patients were from Ellis County.
One effort that is making a difference is (RED), a company founded this year by Bono and Bobby Shriver. A percentage of the profits from each (RED) product sold is given to The Global Fund. Make your holiday giving count by purchasing (RED) products or from other organizations that are making a difference this year.
Send a mosaic in the mail

Photojojo has a link to create your own mosaic that you can send to a friend through snail mail.
What better way to say “I think you’re swell” then with a postcard a day that turns into a giant picture of you that takes up an entire wall?
Make your own T-shirts

I told Laurie tat with Kristy’s simple and cheap tutorial on how to turn a full-color photo into a one-color screen print I could make her a great Christmas gift – A t-shirt with my pic on it.
But for some reason she wasn’t too interested. Hmmm. Maybe she’d prefer a canvas tote bag instead.
Hat tip to Photojojo for the link.
