My sweet baby girl, how can you be ONE already?! This year has flown by. \u00c2\u00a0Although we definitely had our ups and downs the first few months, you have been such a blessing\u00c2\u00a0to our family. \u00c2\u00a0You are a sweet, funny, lovable and curious little girl. Girl, you are a ham! You keep us laughing, that’s for sure.<\/p>\n

You love your brothers! You will walk around the house yelling “EE-AN” and then constantly try to get into your brothers room during their nap and wake up Hayden. There are two sure fire ways to get a smile on your face…heir names are Hayden and Ian.<\/p>\n

You are on the move these days. \u00c2\u00a0You walk around this house like you own, it and there really isn’t a whole lot of wobble to your step anymore \ud83d\ude09 \u00c2\u00a0You really, REALLY enjoy climbing. \u00c2\u00a0I have caught you, more times than I’d like, climbing on your chair or anything else you can climb up on.<\/p>\n

Your favorite thing to do these days, other than climbing, is playing peek-a-boo. You LOVE it! You also like to play chase. \u00c2\u00a0You will try to run from me or your brothers and make a game of it. \u00c2\u00a0You squeal with delight when we catch you.<\/p>\n

You are still a good sleeper, but will go in cycles of wanting to wake up once around 300 to drink a bottle. \u00c2\u00a0Luckily you have stopped that for the last week. \u00c2\u00a0Let’s continue with that, okay? Although your dad is usually the one who gets up with you, but I sympathize with him having to get up \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

You may not have wanted solid food at the beginning and fought us pretty hard to keep anything other than formula going into your mouth. \u00c2\u00a0But missy, that didn’t last long. \u00c2\u00a0You are such a good eater now. \u00c2\u00a0You eat pasta, chicken, avocado, oatmeal, waffles, some green beans and corn, baked beans, you name it.<\/p>\n

I took your 1 year photos last week and you were more interested in trying to escape than sitting in the chair. I think in between each photo we got we had to go chase you and put you back in the chair.<\/p>\n

Some of the things you love (other than your brothers) are dogs, sunglasses, hats and my keys. \u00c2\u00a0Anytime you see a dog, you squeal and get all excited. You will stop what you are doing if you see a dog on TV or in a movie. \u00c2\u00a0I can’t tell you how many pictures I have of you in sunglasses, either mine or your brothers. \u00c2\u00a0But you won’t wear yours!<\/p>\n

\"IMG_8056\"<\/a>You are such a sweet girl, you love to snuggle (when you want to) and the other when Hayden was crying, you leaned over and tried to give him a kiss. \u00c2\u00a0It was the sweetest thing! My favorite time of day is giving you your last bottle because afterwards, you snuggle against my chest and its the most wonderful feeling in the world. \u00c2\u00a0Tonight as I was holding you, it brought me back to the day you were born and the very first time I held you agains my chest. \u00c2\u00a0We had to do “kangaroo care” or skin to skin because you were having some breathing trouble and studies have shown that skin to skin works. \u00c2\u00a0we did it and it worked! within 24 hours your breathing was normal. \u00c2\u00a0Back to tonight \ud83d\ude09 \u00c2\u00a0I was thinking of the first time I held you and it was the most wonderful feeling in the world having you so close. \u00c2\u00a0It was such a bonding experience and one that I will\u00c2\u00a0never forget.<\/p>\n

You may be as sweet as pie, but girl, you are a diva! You know what you want and you will make it known that you want it. \u00c2\u00a0I don’t know where you get that…we’ll just say its from daddy (It’ll be our little secret, shhhh) You have this high pitch screech thing that you do. We call it the\u00c2\u00a0Pterodactyl screech, and let me tell you, it will pierce some ears!<\/span><\/p>\n

I could go on and on, but I’ll let your dad fill in the gaps, as he’s writing something too.<\/p>\n

You have brought so much joy and laughter (and pink) into our lives and I cant imagine life without you, Harper Beth!<\/p>\n
