Eastern European immigrants are an ‘elixir’ for Britain’s economy, easing inflation, boosting output and raising tax revenue, according to a study.
\nThe latest official figures show that net migration to Britain hit 223,000 people in 2004 with beneficial effects for the British economy, according to the Ernst and Young Item Club, published in British newspapers.
