Google+<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

I’ve been asked to serve as a #digidisciple<\/a> over at the Big Bible Project<\/a> in the UK. There are some really cool things going on over there and so I’m honored to have been asked to share my input.
\n
\nMy first article<\/a> — looking at Google+ and how it may (negatively) impact our faith — has just gone live.<\/p>\n

With Google+ Circles we no longer have to share everything with everyone, or pay attention to what everyone else is sharing. We can give special attention to those special people in our lives \u00e2\u20ac\u201c with the click of a button.<\/p>\n

And as our circles evolve and the filter bubbles grow, the people we share with and the voices we listen to become fewer and fewer.
\nPart of this is what excites me about Google+.<\/p>\n

When I first saw the Google+ Circles concept, my initial thought was how I and a number of friends could really put this to use to share ideological or theological ideas and organize people around these same ideas.<\/p>\n

Suddenly I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t have to worry about the uber-conservative friend or trolls who want to pick a fight over everything I post online \u00e2\u20ac\u201c I can simply share it with a group of like-minded souls. And in a similar fashion, I no longer have to worry about hearing how horrible liberal politicians or theologians are \u00e2\u20ac\u201c I can simply filter those voices out of my stream.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
