Feb. 23, 2005. I had forgotten it was the 23rd, but I remember the day quite vividly. I was at work at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.beltonjournal.com\" rel=\"tag\">Journal<\/A> when I got the call that they were taking her to the hospital. I had to stay there and put the paper together. I remember being frustrated that I was so far away and could do nothing for her.<br \/>\nI was her big brother. I&#8217;m supposed to take care of her.<br \/>\nLuckily Matt was able to stand in my sted and did more for her than I probably ever could have.<br \/>\nLittle did I know, she would be gone less than a month later.<br \/>\nHow time flies and how things <a href=\"http:\/\/jdblundell.blogspot.com\/2005\/03\/life-worth-living.html\">change<\/A> in the blink of an eye.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Mom reminded me last night that it was one year ago that Amy first went to the hospital with her headaches.
