{"id":6525,"date":"2010-09-22T07:00:30","date_gmt":"2010-09-22T12:00:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.casadeblundell.com\/jonathan\/?p=6525"},"modified":"2010-09-21T09:45:03","modified_gmt":"2010-09-21T14:45:03","slug":"from-austin-to-kenya-jc-music-video","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/casadeblundell.com\/jonathan\/from-austin-to-kenya-jc-music-video\/","title":{"rendered":"From Austin to Kenya: JC music video"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My friends <a href=\"http:\/\/therockinchef.wordpress.com\/2010\/09\/21\/jc-music-video\/\">Russell<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/eloranicole.wordpress.com\/\">Elora<\/a> recently returned from a trip to Nairobi with the students from <a href=\"http:\/\/reagantokibera.wordpress.com\/\">Reagan High<\/a> in Austin.<\/p>\n<p>While on the trip one of the American students, Ni-D (Nijalon), connected with one of the Kenyan students, Daniel, while the two &#8220;battled it&#8221; out on the soccer field.<\/p>\n<p>A brotherhood was formed, a song was written, recorded there in Kenya and then a video was shot in the largest slum area in the world, Kibera, Kenya, during the last few days of the trip.
