Problogger Darren Rowse<\/a> put out a meme challenge this week to share some of our favorite posts from the past… this is my list.

  1. My first post<\/strong> – So I gave in<\/a>. I wrote it over on blogger.com for my first blog post. You’ll notice posts older than that here, but they’re all from columns I wrote while working for The Belton Journal.<\/li>\n
  2. A post I enjoyed writing the most<\/strong> – 11 things about our “daddy”<\/a>. I wrote this after reading a similar post from Darren<\/a>. It was a fun change of pace, imagining what a 1 and 2-year old would write about me and Laurie after spending 3 weeks in our home.<\/li>\n
  3. A post which had a great discussion<\/strong> – Justin Farmer to leave WFAA<\/a>. Not sure that this has had the best discussion — but definitely one of the most commented and visited.<\/li>\n
  4. A post on someone else\u2019s blog that I wish I\u2019d written<\/strong> – Unity not uniformity by Headphonaught<\/a>. I’ve read countless blog posts in the last 5 or 6 years, but this is one I refer back to more than any. Thomas came up with such an amazing illustration comparing our faith communities to salad rather than a huge melting pot of goop.<\/li>\n
  5. My most helpful post<\/strong> – This was a tough one because I guess I’d like to think all my posts are helpful in some way or another — but based on the number of hits, I’m going to go with Ustream videos not working? Fixed!<\/a> The runner up was Interesting Pot-luck themes<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  6. A post with a title that I’m proud of<\/strong> – 8 myths about caring for your neighbors<\/a>. A pretty straight forward post about the excuses we use and the scary feelings we get when we’re asked to help our neighbors.<\/li>\n
  7. A post that I wish more people had read<\/strong> – How I found heaven at What-A-Burger<\/a>. I’d love to get some good discussion going on this post. Guess I didn’t seed it well enough for questions, but I think the implications for seeing ourselves as bringing heaven with us, wherever we go, is huge! The other post I wish more people would read, is more of the entire series, rather than one single post, but I wish more people would read the 5 posts I shared on What is emergent?<\/a> I don’t claim it’s the end all of definitions, but I felt like it cleared up some<\/em> of the confusion and mis-information I’ve seen about emerging faith.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
