{"id":55,"date":"2005-04-14T11:09:00","date_gmt":"2005-04-14T17:09:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.casadeblundell.com\/jonathan\/?p=55"},"modified":"2009-04-24T13:51:40","modified_gmt":"2009-04-24T19:51:40","slug":"my-king","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/casadeblundell.com\/jonathan\/my-king\/","title":{"rendered":"My King"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A few weeks ago I wrote about church marketing and how it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s really quite ineffective for today\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s audience.<br \/>\nOver the last few weeks I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ve been blessed over and abundantly by my church, my parent\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s church and my sister Amy\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s church and more importantly by God.<br \/>\nIf there was only some way to bottle up those blessings and sell them on the open market &#8212; we would make a fortune.<br \/>\nWe do have the greatest message and product known to man, but I still don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t know how to share it with the rest of the world.<br \/>\nThis past weekend I <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theiowaharvest.com\/harvestholler\/archives\/000085.html\">heard<\/A> a sermon again for the first time.<br \/>\nIt thrilled me to hear it again and thought, \u00e2\u20ac\u02dcThis is how we should market Christianity. If people get this, they\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll get the greatest message ever told.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<br \/>\nIt\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a simple message that needs to be shared with the entire world.<br \/>\nSo, while reading the transcript is no where near as powerful as actually hearing it read by its author, I hope that you will begin to understand how great a message Christians really have.<br \/>\nMy King<br \/>\nMy King was born King. The Bible says He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a Seven Way King.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the King of the Jews \u00e2\u20ac\u201c that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a racial King.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the King of Israel \u00e2\u20ac\u201c that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s a National King.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the King of righteousness.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the King of the ages.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the King of Heaven.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the King of glory.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the King of kings and He is the Lord of lords.<br \/>\nNow that\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s my King. Well I wonder if you know Him. Do you know Him? Don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t try to mislead me. Do you know my King?<br \/>\nDavid said the Heavens declare the glory of God, and the firmament shows His handiwork.<br \/>\nMy King is the only one whom there are no means of measure can define His limitless love.<br \/>\nNo far seeing telescope can bring into visibility the coastline of His shore of supplies.<br \/>\nNo barriers can hinder Him from pouring out His blessing.<br \/>\nWell, well, He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s enduringly strong.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s entirely sincere.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s eternally steadfast. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s immortally graceful.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s imperially powerful. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s impartially merciful. That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s my King.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s God\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Son. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the sinner\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s savior. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the centerpiece of civilization.<br \/>\nHe stands alone in Himself. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s honest. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s unique. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s unparalleled. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s unprecedented. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s supreme. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s pre-eminent.<br \/>\nWell, He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the grandest idea in literature.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the highest personality in philosophy.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the supreme problem in high criticism.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the fundamental doctrine of proved theology.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the carnal necessity of spiritual religion. That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s my King.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the miracle of the age. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the superlative of everything good that you choose to call Him.<br \/>\nWell, He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the only one able to supply all of our needs simultaneously.<br \/>\nHe supplies strength for the weak.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s available for the tempted and the tried.<br \/>\nHe sympathizes and He saves.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s strong God and He guides. He heals the sick. He cleanses the lepers.<br \/>\nHe forgives sinners. He discharged debtors.<br \/>\nHe delivers the captives. He defends the feeble.<br \/>\nHe blesses the young. He serves the unfortunate. He regards the aged.<br \/>\nHe rewards the diligent and He beautifies the meek. Do you know Him?<br \/>\nWell, my King is a King of knowledge. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the wellspring of wisdom. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the doorway of deliverance. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the pathway of peace. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the roadway of righteousness.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the highway of holiness. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the gateway of glory. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the master of the mighty. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the captain of the conquerors.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the head of the heroes. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the leader of the legislatures. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the overseer of the overcomers.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the governor of governors. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the prince of princes. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the King of kings and He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s the Lord of lords. That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s my King.<br \/>\nYeah. Yeah. That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s my King. My King, yeah.<br \/>\nHis office is manifold. His promise is sure. His light is matchless.<br \/>\nHis goodness is limitless. His mercy is everlasting.<br \/>\nHis love never changes. His Word is enough. His grace is sufficient. His reign is righteous. His yoke is easy and His burden is light.<br \/>\nWell. I wish I could describe Him to you, but He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s indescribable.<br \/>\nHe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s indescribable. Yes. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s incomprehensible. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s invincible. He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s irresistible. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m coming to tell you, the heavens of heavens cannot contain Him, let alone a man explaining Him.<br \/>\nYou can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get Him out of your mind. You can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get Him off of your hands. You can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t outlive Him and you can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t live without Him.<br \/>\nWell, Pharisees couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t stand Him, but they found out they couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t stop Him. Pilot couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t find any fault in Him. The witnesses couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t get their testimonies to agree.<br \/>\nHerod couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t kill Him. Death couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t handle Him and the grave couldn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t hold Him. That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s my King. Yeah.<br \/>\nHe always has been and He always will be. I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m talking about He had no predecessor and He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll have no successor.<br \/>\nThere\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s nobody before Him and there\u00e2\u20ac\u2122ll be nobody after Him. You can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t impeach Him and He\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s not going to resign. That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s my King! That\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s my King!<br \/>\nThine is the kingdom and the power and the glory. Well, all the power belongs to my King.<br \/>\nWe\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re around here talking about black power and white power and green power, but it\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s God\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s power.<br \/>\nThine is the power. Yeah. And the glory. We try to get prestige and honor and glory for ourselves, but the glory is all His. Yes.<br \/>\nThine is the Kingdom and the power and glory, forever and ever and ever and ever. How long is that? And ever and ever and ever and ever. And when you get through with all of the forevers, then, Amen.<br \/>\n\u00e2\u20ac\u201dDr. S. M.
