{"id":3663,"date":"2008-04-25T08:45:22","date_gmt":"2008-04-25T14:45:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.casadeblundell.com\/jonathan\/?p=3663"},"modified":"2008-04-25T08:45:22","modified_gmt":"2008-04-25T14:45:22","slug":"asking-the-right-questions","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/casadeblundell.com\/jonathan\/asking-the-right-questions\/","title":{"rendered":"Asking the right questions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>My buddy Thomas and his wife are heading <a href=\"http:\/\/nanolog.blogspot.com\/2008\/04\/time-for-reflection.html\">on a spiritual retreat<\/a> this weekend with some friends.<br \/>\nKeep them in your prayers.<\/p>\n<p>Thomas is a big encouragement to me &#8211; we seem to be asking <a href=\"http:\/\/nanolog.blogspot.com\/2008\/04\/busy-day-wednesday-23rd-april-08.html\">many of the same questions<\/a>. We may word them differently or focus on different ones and different times but I think overall we&#8217;re asking the same things.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>I talked about &#8220;Everything Must Change&#8221; and spoke of the dilemma \/ challenge I have with the &#8220;Prosperity&#8221; section &#8212; the one that describes\/discusses &#8220;Theocapitalism&#8221;. We spoke of independent coffee shops, open source software and charity shops as means of subverting the consumerist agenda. Fab.<\/p>\n<p>We then spoke of a joint dilemma we face&#8230; how we bring people from &#8220;consumption&#8221; to &#8220;participation&#8221; in the expressions of church that we create\/facilitate\/direct&#8230; and how &#8220;interaction&#8221; is an important stepping stone in the transition.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Keep it up mate.
