{"id":3203,"date":"2007-12-02T16:54:44","date_gmt":"2007-12-02T22:54:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.casadeblundell.com\/jonathan\/?p=3203"},"modified":"2007-12-02T16:56:33","modified_gmt":"2007-12-02T22:56:33","slug":"local-icon-dies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/casadeblundell.com\/jonathan\/local-icon-dies\/","title":{"rendered":"Local icon dies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>From the <a href=\"http:\/\/thedailylight.com\/articles\/2007\/12\/02\/dailylight\/news\/03-12-02-mary%20jane.txt\">WDL<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p>By JOANN LIVINGSTON Daily Light Managing Editor<\/p>\n<p>Waxahachie ISD sports\u00e2\u20ac\u2122 biggest fan, <strong>Mary Jane Eubank<\/strong>, passed away Friday afternoon and her best friend, <strong>Debra Wakeland<\/strong>, is still in shock at Eubank\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s sudden death.<\/p>\n<p>\u00e2\u20ac\u0153She was such a loving, caring person,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Wakeland said of the 65-year-old, who was found injured and unconscious at her home Wednesday morning. \u00e2\u20ac\u0153She considered every student in Waxahachie as her child.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n<p>Wakeland recalled her own son\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s graduation ceremony and how she and Eubank &#8211; who was unmarried and who had no children &#8211; were standing together.
