A day we remember those who have fought for our freedom and values. Yet in the midst of this day, honoring our veterans, <a href=\"http:\/\/nanolog.blogspot.com\/2007\/11\/dont-forget.html\">Thomas<\/a> offers a slightly perspective and I spose I could just link to his thoughts, but felt the need to share it entirely.<\/p>\n<p>don&#8217;t forget<br \/>\nthe victims of war<br \/>\nthe dead&#8230; the injured&#8230; the hurt.<br \/>\nthe humiliated&#8230; the raped&#8230; the tortured.<br \/>\nfathers and mothers without sons and daughters&#8230;<br \/>\nsons and daughters without fathers and mothers.<br \/>\nwar affects the soul&#8230; not just the soldier.<br \/>\nthere are not victors in war&#8230; only victims.<br \/>\ndon&#8217;t forget<br \/>\nthe victims of war<br \/>\nthe dead on both sides&#8230; the injured on both sides&#8230; the hurt on both sides.<br \/>\nthe humiliated on both sides&#8230; the raped on both sides&#8230; the tortured on both sides.<br \/>\ndon&#8217;t forget<br \/>\nthe victims of war.<\/p>\n<p>Don&#8217;t forget&#8230; today and everyday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Today here in America we celebrate Veterans Day.
