{"id":126,"date":"2005-06-07T07:19:00","date_gmt":"2005-06-07T13:19:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.casadeblundell.com\/jonathan\/?p=126"},"modified":"2012-04-17T07:31:01","modified_gmt":"2012-04-17T13:31:01","slug":"monkeys","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/casadeblundell.com\/jonathan\/monkeys\/","title":{"rendered":"Monkeys"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/binaryape\/4385226941\/\" class=\"tt-flickr tt-flickr-Medium\" title=\"Trentham Monkey Forest\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone\" src=\"http:\/\/farm5.static.flickr.com\/4063\/4385226941_07ff804f6d.jpg\" alt=\"Trentham Monkey Forest\" width=\"500\" height=\"301\" \/><\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Michael Robinson sent me a story <em>We Aren&#8217;t Monkeys<\/em>, about an upset waitress.<\/p>\n<p>Ever stop and think while you&#8217;re in a restaurant, that there might be other people there needing help too?<\/p>\n<p>Sunday after church we visited a local restaurant where only two ladies were waiting tables.<\/p>\n<p>I felt sorry for the two ladies who were definitly working their tail off to make sure everyone had everything.<br \/>\nSure, it was annoying to have to wait a while to get a menu and my water and what not, but you can only expect two waitresses to do so much.<\/p>\n<p>But I&#8217;ve been in places and seen ridiculous demands put on wait staff.<\/p>\n<p>And unfortunately the friends I have that wait tables or have waited tables always tell me how much they hate the Sunday crowd.<\/p>\n<p>They all say its the worst time to wait tables.<\/p>\n<p>The church crowd is more demanding, less merciful, complains that the wait staff is working on a Sunday and not worshipping with them &#8212; and they&#8217;re usually the worst tippers.<\/p>\n<p>And then they want to leave a tract to tell the wait staff how much God loves them.<\/p>\n<p>That makes me want to join a church right away.<\/p>\n<p>And they will know that we are Christians by our tips.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Michael Robinson sent me a story We Aren&#8217;t Monkeys, about an upset waitress.
