{"id":120,"date":"2005-06-06T13:56:00","date_gmt":"2005-06-06T19:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.casadeblundell.com\/jonathan\/?p=120"},"modified":"2005-06-06T13:56:00","modified_gmt":"2005-06-06T19:56:00","slug":"have-it-your-way-no-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/casadeblundell.com\/jonathan\/have-it-your-way-no-more\/","title":{"rendered":"Have it your way &#8211; no more?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Some of you may recall my rant <a href=\"http:\/\/jdblundell.blogspot.com\/2005\/05\/have-it-your-way.html\">Have it Your Way<\/A> a few weeks back.<br \/>\nAs an update, our paper just received word that the franchise is filing for bankruptcy.<br \/>\nI wonder how many other people were having trouble Having it Their Way?<br \/>\nThere have been a number of businesses come and go in Belton as of late.<br \/>\nThis particular burger stop has been open for 2 or 3 years. It&#8217;s in a prime location along I-35, yet the business apparently hasn&#8217;t done to well.<br \/>\nAnother restaurant nearby has had troubles as of late as well.<br \/>\nYet other businesses seem to strive.<br \/>\nTwo tire shops closed down in Belton within the last 18 months.<br \/>\nBoth blamed the local economy and a lack of support.<br \/>\nYet, when talking with the owner of the store that moved into one location &#8212; he said he wouldn&#8217;t sell his property for double what he paid for it.<br \/>\nHe said he couldn&#8217;t be happier with the business, location and response from the community.<br \/>\nIt just goes to show how far customer service really goes.<br \/>\nI only shopped at the two former tire shops once. With the poor service I received I had no desire to go back.<br \/>\nWhy waste my time and money when I can get better service and prices elsewhere.<br \/>\nMarketing and advertising have a lot to do with your business &#8211; but after that, its up to your customer service to keep the customers coming back.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Some of you may recall my rant Have it Your Way a few weeks back.
