\nI caught the tail end of an opinion piece on KERA<\/A>, our local NPR affiliate this morning. The author was talking about the release of the Dixie Chick’s new single and how no country stations in the metroplex (or state) are playing the song.
\nMost stations say it’s still in backlash from Natalie Maines’ comment during 2003 that she was not proud that President George Bush was from Texas.
\nThe commentator said maybe one of the funniest things I’ve heard on radio in a while, “The Dixie Chicks have parts of the male anatomy that I can’t mention on radio. And they’re huge.”
\nLike them or not, they are standing by their convictions and not backing down to pressure.
\nLyrics to their latest single, “Not Ready to Make Nice”<\/p>\n
