I’m on a bit of a rant here.<\/p>\n

After working late tonight, I decided to stop by a local burger joint to grab a value meal for my evening dinner. I asked for a particular burger and I was told, “Sorry, we’re out of those buns.” <\/p>\n

I was taken back and asked her to repeat herself. <\/p>\n

Sure enough they were out of the buns needed to make my burger. <\/p>\n

I asked what what burger I could have then, and she named off a childs burger, a chicken sandwich, a fish sandwich and a specialty sandwhich. <\/p>\n

I was still taken back — a burger joint, at 9 p.m. would not serve me a burger. <\/p>\n

I asked if they could simply put my burger on a differnet bun. “No, our manager said those are too expensive.”<\/p>\n

WHAT!? Too expensive? Whatever happened to “Have it your way?!”<\/p>\n

Maybe I’m expecting too much, but I think if your out of buns for your trademark burger, you should allow a substitute – not complain that another bun is too expensive.<\/p>\n

So with my new understanding of what “Have it your way” really meant, I drove down the street and grabbed a What-a-Burger Tripple Meat-Tripple Cheese (Tripple Bypass) Value Meal – and I had it What-A-Sized.<\/p>\n

Oh my, a cheeseburger never tasted so good. Well maybe, but after my huge dissapointment from earlier, anything probably would have tasted just as good. When I came home, I went to the companies website to file a complaint.<\/p>\n

And what did I find, but the company does not accept e-mails and has no forms for feedback on their website.<\/p>\n

Instead, I get three options<\/A> for contacting them.<\/p>\n

Not only could I not have my burger my way – but I couldn’t contact them my way.<\/p>\n

Some one needs to check their slogan and make sure that it’s still company policy.<\/p>\n

Advertising “Have it Your Way” is great. I love having it my way. <\/p>\n

But instead of getting it my way there – I went to What-A-Burger where I had it “Just my Way.”<\/p>\n

Thanks What-A-Burger for standing by your corporate slogan.<\/p>\n
